Colleen Maranges

Colleen is an experienced litigator, having represented clients in complex commercial litigation in both state and federal courts. Her practice spans a wide range of matters, including real estate disputes, business torts, breach of contract claims, and property insurance litigation. 

Throughout her career, Colleen has achieved successful outcomes for a diverse client base, including:

• A real estate developer in a multi-million-dollar civil rights lawsuit against a South Florida municipality;

• A South Beach hotel owner/operator in a $100+ million dispute over redevelopment rights with a former tenant;

• A landowner in a partition action involving real property valued at more than $30 million;

• A real estate developer in a complex business dispute involving allegations of fraud;

• A private lender in a $10+ million enforcement action based on fraud and breach of loan documents;

• A luxury furniture and home décor company in multiple matters arising from a dispute among its owners;

• Condominium associations, business owners, and private homeowners in a variety of first-party property insurance claims.

Today, Colleen primarily focuses on representing policyholders in property insurance disputes. 

In addition to her litigation practice, Colleen has contributed to the advancement of the profession through service on the Florida Bar’s Civil Procedure Rules Committee and the Special Committee on Gender Bias and Diversity.  

In her free time, Colleen enjoys spending time with her two kids and her husband, Chris (yes, they work together!), exploring new restaurants, and traveling.
