Matt Brown

Matthew S. Brown is a highly experienced attorney with more than 24 years of litigation practice and now specializing in first-party property insurance litigation across the Southeastern United States. He represents both commercial and residential policyholders, advocating for their rights in disputes with insurance carriers in Georgia, Florida, Texas, Tennessee, and Kentucky.

Matt began his legal career in insurance defense, serving as trial counsel for carriers and corporate clients. He later founded and led his own successful litigation firm handling defense matters throughout Florida and Georgia. Over time, he transitioned to representing policyholders exclusively — a change that aligned with his passion for helping individuals and businesses obtain the insurance benefits they deserve.

At Maranges Law, Matt brings his depth of experience in insurance litigation to clients facing complex property claims. He manages cases from intake through trial, handling all aspects including depositions, mediations, expert coordination, and courtroom appearances. Outside of the courtroom, Matt is a dedicated husband and father. He lives with his wife and two daughters. In his free time, he enjoys boating, fishing, and hunting, often with his family.
