About Jennifer “Jen” Heath

Jennifer “Jen” Heath is an insurance and civil litigation attorney who focuses primarily on assisting individuals, small business owners, and corporations with their insurance and property damage disputes, debt/collections, and business disputes.

Jen joined Maranges law in 2023 with 9 years of experience in insurance litigation alone, as well as additional experience in construction litigation, collections, and appellate practice. Jen is also a licensed Insurance Adjuster in Florida, holding a Florida 6-20 All Lines license.

Before joining Maranges Law, Jen served as the senior legal writer and appellate attorney for a South Florida firm representing hurricane victims against their insurers. Prior to that, Jen had her own law practice and worked as in-house counsel for a Fortune 100 insurance company.

Jen obtained a Bachelor of Science in Law & American Civilization from Towson University in 2009, while also earning dual minors in Business Administration and Political Science. That same year, Jen accepted a scholarship to St. Thomas University College of Law in Miami Gardens, Florida, where she earned her Juris Doctor in 2012. At her graduation, Jen was awarded several pro bono awards and the Dean’s Award for Public Service & Leadership, having founded a chapter of the Dade County Bar Association in the name of her law school.

Jen is a passionate advocate for her clients in and out of the courtroom; she has saved every “thank you” letter she has ever received from one of her clients. In keeping with her dedication to helping others, Jen volunteers with the Florida Department of Children and Families as a youth mentor and previously was responsible for the fundraising for the Veterans Outreach Court in Hillsborough County, where she acted as the county’s sole fundraiser for the Court. In her spare time, Jen enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, writing, and photography.
